1. Flagman has complete authority during the race!!

2.   Heats and ‘B’ features are on a 15 minute time limit.  After 5 yellows in an ‘A’ feature, we will go green/white/checkered.

Car count determines how many heats will be run:

                  Up to 12 cars = 1 heat

                  13-22 cars = 2 heats

                  23-30 cars = 3 heats

                  31-40 cars = 4 heats

All “A” features will start up to 24 cars.  Compacts will start up to 30 cars..

Any class with 10 or less cars will go straight to a long feature.

3.  Cars should be painted in a professional manner with the number painted in a contrasting color on both sides, rear, and top of car.  Numbers should be large enough for the scorer to distinguish from the press box – minimum of 20” tall and at least a 6” X 6” number on the rear of car.

4.  Track officials are not allowed to draw for any reason.  Line-ups will be made after the draw has closed.  Car must be at track in order to draw.  If you have not drawn, you will start at the rear.  If you want to start at the rear, please inform the officials at the draw.  If one car does not make the line-up, all cars behind that car will move straight forward.

5.  The flagman will start all races, no cone, and no line.  Stay nose to tail, when you see the green flag or green light you are racing.  Leaders must maintain a reasonable pace until we go green.  Pay attention to the lights.  If the lights are out, you will be getting the green.

6.  The only flag to follow the white is the checkered flag, unless the track is completely blocked or in case of fire.  In this case, the race will be paid from the last completed lap.  If the leader has taken the white flag and has a clear path to the checkered flag, the checkered flag will be thrown.  If not, a yellow will be thrown the cars lined up (minus the cars in the yellow) and we will go green/white/checkered.  If a yellow flag has to be thrown during this restart, the race will be over and paid from the last completed lap (minus the cars in the yellow/red).

7.  The pole car should set the pace at a reasonable speed to keep the field nose to tail formation.  DO NOT KEEP THE PACE SO SLOW THAT THE CARS BEHIND ARE ‘BOGGED’ DOWN.  Flagman may signal cars to pick up speed.  If this signal is ignored, flagman may put that car on the rear.  This includes single file restarts.  It is up to the front row to set the pace so that the race is started evenly.  If this cannot be done in two attempts, one or both cars will go to the rear.  If you are out of line, the yellow flag will wave and you go to the rear.

8.  Line-ups after a red or yellow flag will be according to the last completed scored lap with the cars involved in the red or yellow flag lined-up on the rear.  Drew County Speedway, LLC will use a “Delaware Restart” format, whereas the lead car will be in a row by itself and the second place car will choose inside or outside of the next row behind the leader and all subsequent cars will be lined up in a crisscross pattern after. There will be two – 2 – attempts on Delaware Restart, then single file restart.

9.  A red flag means STOP – there is a dangerous situation on the track!!!  DO NOT DRIVE AROUND!!!!!  If you ignore a red flag, you will be disqualified.

10. The race is officially over when the checkered flag is thrown.
